 Bob's rolling
chassis came to my shop for a complete restoration. |
 These plates
we added on as part of a hoist used to lift pumps. These will be
carefully cut off to save the frame. |
 Those yellow
powder coated rims and new tires look great! |
 You never
want to see this when you open the drain plug on the transmission and
transfer case. I bet about a half gallon of water came out, and very
little gear oil. |
 The skid
plate is always where decades worth of grease and dirt accumulates. I
would much rather see this muck than have everything rusted out. This
muck seems to preserve everything as well. |
 The tranny
and t-case are out! |
 The heart of
this 3A is now out and ready for a rebuild. |

With the drivetrain out, the next step is to remove the axles and strip
the frame down. |
 After
stripping down the front axle I turned my attention to removing the front
bumper. Thankfully it was just held on by a few stubborn bolts. |
 Those rusty
u-bolts are no match for the plasma cutter! |
